On 3-11-06, my wife and I were visiting Asheville and saw (and heard) a protest downtown. What we saw was ugly. A group of preachers were on stage screaming about the evils of homosexuality under the guise of “supporting businesses with family values.” The preachers really did have the whole Hitler/public speaking thing down pat. And yes I said HITLER! Hitler was a fascist long before he started murdering Jews and that is what these preachers are – fascists.

There was one protest sign that read something like “If we ban gay marriage, will it lower gas prices?” It was such a clever protest sign I had to do a strip on it. As the tag line for Town Called Dobson suggests, I really wish all this wern’t true.
