The Soviets tried to bring down America over and over but there was one simple method they didn’t use that would have overwhelmed the American population and opened the door for a silent Soviet Invasion – sleeping pills in the Big Macs. Why? Because I think that is what is happening now.
There really needs to be a Bush Scandal Wiki somewhere – just to keep track of all the scandals and crimes against the Constitution, democracy & humanity, war crimes and out right vandalism and theft. I just can’t keep up. With that much scandal and democratic disgrace the ONLY explanation I can think of as to why Americans are not rioting in the street is because the Big Macs are chocked full of sleeping pills.
The MSM and the Republicans and their “fake rage” followers almost had a coronary over Bill Clinton’s brief bout of oral sex, but BushCo gets a pass? Benedict Arnold got a LOT worse for a LOT less. He planned to give up a fort and failed, Bush gave up the Constitution of the United States of America and is still in office. How is that even possible?
Maybe it isn’t Big Mac doping. Maybe if this were a basketball game and not our freedom, things would be different.
And so concludes Howl Qaeda. I hope you enjoyed the series.

Americans as a whole are being kept dumb, sleepy and in their own little world. This has been done on purpose to prevent said rioting and whatnot.
…I do not necessarily think that this was the intent from the beginning, but that is how things have ended up and the powers that be have capitalized on that.
You bring up Bill Clinton and Benetict Arnold for their crimes or indescressions…want another great example? Richard Nixon. Nixon did a lot of shady things while in office and in the road to election. Bush has done far FAR worse. Nixon resigned before he could be impeached…but only because he KNEW it wad comming.
Why isn’t anyone standing up now? I mean, if Nixon pulled half of the stuff Bush is doing, he would have been destroyed. What has changed between then and now?
I’ll tell you: Americans just don’t give a rat’s ass about anything that is going on outside of their little bubbles of reality. If it does not affect them getting cheap gas, the next fix of Paris Hilton or their Big Macs, they just don’t care.

Look at the news reporting of the time versus what we have now. That and the incredible partisanship shown by republicans in ignoring EVERYTHING done wrong by any republican official.
They get bent out of shape over a $400 haircut while ignoring that a $400 a night male prostitute spent 1 or more nights in the White House? Or maybe they thought they got their money’s worth with the prostitute.

I can’t come up with a reason why we aren’t on the streets protesting the war and all the indictable things Bush is doing? During the Vietnam era young people protested because (and not the only reason but a BIG one) was the draft…nobody wanted to go. Nobody is for the war now but only a few brave boys go – volunteers – who believe in what’s going on over there. My nephew went – I was sick every day expecting notification of his death in defense of his country but I didn’t take to the streets. I talked up to anyone who listened but I didn’t DO anything (He’s safe and sound at home now). I think that’s what’s happening now…
And while certain rights are being compromised – wiretapping, being held indefinitely without trial, etc. – everyday people are not being effected by these changes.
I enjoyed Howl Qaeda I read it all the time. Thanks.

That is exactly the problem right there. Nobody is DOING anything. You have a bunch of folks sitting around talking. but talking does NOT equal action.
Why is there no action being taken? Are people waiting on a leader? Are they not mad enough? Or is it that they just don’t care enough because they are not being affected directly (it’s always someone else’s kid/spouse/significant other who is getting maimed or killed).
I’ll bet if a draft is instituted, you will see protests.
I’m telling you, until you see protests, you will NOT see the soldiers come home. Period.
