I have been reading a lot of translations of Ahmadinejad’s speeches and they parallel Bush’s speeches. I find it amazing the two can both be so disconnected from reality or skilled in propaganda.
Maybe they have the same strategist? Maybe Karl Rove is lending Mahmoud a helping hand? Seriously, Bush has made America more like Iran than any Iranian ever could.

Funny, stormbear. But Ahmadinejad should speak so we can confront him on his denial of the Holocaust and his terrible attitude toward the state of Israel.

Something of note about Iran’s president is that he is not in charge of the country. Yeah, he has a lot of influence, and he is elected by the people…but he is not the man in charge. Actually…I think as a political head, Ahmadinejad has less power over the Iranians than Bush does over the Americans.
To be honest, I do not know why we are even dealing with Ahmadinejad on a diplomatic basis. We need to be talking with Ali Khamenei, as he is the ‘Supreme Leader’ of Iran, and he is the one who holds the power of that nation…well more than Ahmadinejad does at any rate.
It should also be noted that Ahmadinejad’s views are not necessarily the same as the views of Khamenei or the Iranian people on numerous subject matters.
Frankly, if the guy wants to get up and talk, I say let him. It is more than what has been done in the last 20+ years between our two countries anyway…this is better than nothing at all.

Couple of comments.
First, it shocks the crap out of me that we haven’t heard “Death to America” in a little while. Hmmmm
Second, a number of middle east countries pushed through a United Nations resolution calling for all middle east nations to renounce atomic weapons. Many “western” nations abstained from voting on it citing that it was politicizing the International Atomic Agency’s work. The vote ended up being 53-2. Israel and the US were the only ones to vote against the measure. Ironically, Iran voted for it. Third, it scares me that I have more respect for the leader of a country that murders its citizens than I do for the leader of our own.
